Frankfurt January 2024 - manual on my Sony a7iv with a Pentax 50mm f1.7, Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8 and Jupiter-37A 135 mm f3.5 - first shoot like this and it was a lot of fun!
the Jupiter 135 mm was not easy to use - the EF-E Adapter was not the perfect fit and it jerked a little while focusing - it's not the sharpest lens but it gives a nostalgic touch and soft bloom.
the Tamron is a beast and a cumbersome at that - it is very sharp and lets in a lot of light, and I really like its cooler colors - the only downside is its size and weight.
the Pentax with its magnificent f1.7 - the field of depth, bloom and colors densities make this thing really interesting - everything disperses very smoothly - it is not the best for low light and I had trouble keeping things sharp without a tripod with some of the shots - the noise (due to higher ISO on the manual lenses) wasn't an issue for me - I did remove some in some pictures, because it was a little too much.
